Lyall Bay House
Completed 2015 & 2017
Alterations x 2.
Two sets of alterations to a bungalow are linked by the use of thoughtful design and contemporary joinery units.
Firstly, the rear of the house was reconfigured within its existing footprint to accommodate a bedroom with dressing room, bathroom and laundry, and small sunny sitting area (sited in the old laundry and linen cupboard). A built-in window seat looking out to the garden completed the transformation.
The second stage addressed the kitchen and entry. New durable kitchen joinery provided excellent storage solutions for the small space. The entry was enlivened by the addition of a simple, elegant storage unit to display books and objects collected by the owners.
