Karori House
Completed 2015
Alterations.
The kitchen in an early 1960's house designed by "Fritz" Eisenhofer, was updated to meet the needs of a busy family. New appliances and contemporary kitchen fittings and materials were added, while respecting the original architect's design.
New sinks replaced old under the original picture window, which looks out onto the garden. The high-level cupboard was refurbished, with original solid Rimu drawer fronts and pulls re-used in the new joinery.
Reminiscent of the house's 1960's origins, the blend of pale blue glass mosaic tiles for the splashback provides a playful backdrop of colour and texture.
