Brooklyn House

Alterations.
For a professional cook and restaurant owner, having a proper dining space at home is essential.
This long narrow duplex Villa had undergone alterations which sacrificed comfortable living and dining spaces in order to accommodate three bedrooms.
Keeping within the existing footprint of the house, one bedroom was claimed for a new kitchen, allowing the previous kitchen to become a dining space. The design takes its cue from commercial kitchens - stainless steel pot racks for storage, a generous sink and powerful tap – but remains low-key to allow the owner's collection of furniture and objects to shine.
